ANNA C. HOTVEDT

Artist Biography

Anna spent her childhood in rural north central B.C. She had a large exposure to trapping and hunting, gaining an extensive knowledge of wildlife and the mountain and bush country.  She travelled most of western North America viewing many native art styles and mediums as well as works by many famous artists.  Anna has been an artist all of her life, but embarked on a two year course with Minneapolis Art School 18 months ago.

Artist Statement

“Art is a continual learning process for the purpose of creating. I cannot begin to imagine life without the pleasure and satisfaction gained from one’s own creations.  I think that my experience must have come from a crayon on the wall.”
